Chris and Lucy’s Story

design process 1 and 2

Building Confidence with Colour and Pattern

Details

Chris and Lucy came to me wanting to inject some colour and drama into their stunning home.

This gorgeous couple are a delight and the project was a dream to work on; I loved it.

They have a large detached family home in East Sussex, and an eclectic and characterful range of existing furniture which works really well. They have fabulous style and know what they like.

Their home already felt completely authentic to them, but they felt it was more neutral than they’d like, and they were ready to be braver and inject some pattern and colour to the walls.

Here’s what they had to say:

We didn’t want to pay money for a traditional interior designer because we can find the things we like by looking on the internet. It is, however, difficult when you know what you like, and equally the look and feel you want to achieve in your home, but don’t want to spend money and accidentally get it wrong!

Annie was amazing from our first interaction with her. Primarily she listens, and has great ideas. She worked within our budget; steering us from unnecessary expenditure and getting us to focus spend on where it will have most impact.

A week after her initial site visit, Annie sent us our ‘Transformation Pack’ clearly setting out our colour palette and the ideas we had discussed together, which we can now pass onto our decorator and other trades as needed.

I would have no hesitation is recommending Annie and am really excited to start our project using her design plan.
